Yu-Wen Jan

Picture
Yu-Wen is a biomedical communicator passionate about transforming complex science into clear and impactful visual stories.

In the past, she worked as a research assistant at the Institute of Plant and Microbial Biology, Academia Sinica, Taiwan, where she contributed her biotechnology expertise to a publication in Nature Plants. While she enjoyed the problem-solving of research in the lab, she discovered the true passion lies in finding the communication problems and in bridging knowledge gaps through visual storytelling. This passion led me to pursue a Master of Science in Biomedical Communications at the University of Toronto, where she have trained to become a professional biomedical communicator, creating meaningful and effective visual solutions for science.

In her spare time, she enjoys dancing and traveling to discover new experiences.
