Danielle DeSouza

Danielle is a PhD candidate in the Neuroscience Collaborative Program and is co-supervised by Dr. Hodaie. She uses various neuroimaging techniques to examine brain abnormalities and treatment-related plasticity in patients with trigeminal neuralgia. Additionally, she uses psychophysical methods to quantitatively assess sensory perception in these individuals. She is passionate about neuroanatomy and highly involved in teaching at the University of Toronto.
Throughout her PhD training, Danielle has been fortunate to receive support via the CIHR CellSignals Training Program, the Ontario Graduate Scholarship Program, the University of Toronto Centre for the Study of Pain, and the University of Toronto’s QEII and OSOTF Scholarship Programs.
