Timur Latypov

Tessa Burkholder
Timur Latypov obtained his MD degree from the Kazan Federal University, Russia. He is currently pursuing his Ph.D. degree at the University of Toronto. As an MD student, Timur participated in multidisciplinary research in spinal cord injury recovery, neuromodulation, and neuropathic pain development under the supervision of Dr. Igor Lavrov and Dr. Matt Stead (Mayo Clinic)

Timur is currently working on brain imaging and artificial intelligence-based facial pain classification studies. He is particularly interested in developing the AI-assisted diagnostic tool and adapt it for use in clinical practice. 

Timur spends his spare time visiting contemporary art exhibitions, playing guitar, singing, and exploring the city.
